This is Sea Pearl, a member of Captain Marcy's crew aboard The Reef. She is mainly a marine geologist, and she specializes in the treasures the crew find on their voyages.

 Written Appearance: Pearl has a very light, sandy coat with a dark blue mane decorated with pearls and white ribbons. Her eyes are a shade of blue just a bit lighter than her mane, and her cutie mark of an oyster with a pearl in its mouth surrounded by jewels and other treasures symbolizes her talent to treasure collecting/excavating/appraising. 

 Personality: Pearl is (of course) a bit greedy. One of her goals is to make herself a pearl necklace out of the pearls she finds aboard the ship for herself, but finding pearls is a tedious task. Pearl is actually quite sweet and generous despite her love for treasure. She was actually the pony to get the crew on the path of delivering the treasure they find to those who are in need. Though she seems like a prissy, clean mare on the outside, Pearl is actually perfectly fine with being out at sea and fighting when need be. She is absolutely in love with discovering new islands and being to new places she has never been before. She gets rather excited over things, and by "excited," I mean way too overexcited. 

 Brief Description: Pearl is a unicorn who was rescued by The Reef's captain Marcy when they docked at the port near Canterlot. Pearl proved her skills to the captain and explained how there was absolutely nothing left for her on land that she wanted to do, so she boarded the ship that day and left her city. Pearl is the best at what she does, and she knows it. She flaunts her gems and knowledge constantly, but she is also a very good educator; she teaches the rest of the crew about gems and treasures and other kinds of rock formations when their days are full of nothing but the middle of the oceans.
